Vlada Stark
Editor in Chief
Vlada Stark is majoring in biology with a pre-professional concentration at UNLV. She enjoys writing short fiction and local music scene write-ups during her free time. Her ultimate goal is to one day become a published novelist. After collaborating with several indie zines during quarantine, she was inspired to start an arts review journal at UNLV's Honors College.
Tracy Fuentes
Managing Editor (Fall Semester)
Tracy Fuentes is double majoring in English and political science and minoring in Asian and Asian American Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is also the co-founder and co-chief editor of Kindergarten Mag. She aspires to become a professor of literature, seeking to share the amazing works of AAPI literature, film, and media that are often excluded from syllabi. When Tracy is not studying, you can find her watching movies and anime, reading manga and novels, or spreading her love for zines.
Emma Coleman

Emma is pursuing a degree in biochemistry on a premedical track. She enjoys reading, writing, and playing games.
Jacquelyn Rodriguez

Jacquelyn Rodriguez is a psychology major at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After graduation, she hopes to complete a master's in public health and eventually work in disease prevention. In her free time, she enjoys watching horror movies, listening to Bad Bunny, and trying out new places to eat.
Clarissa Pimentel

Clarissa Pimentel is currently studying psychology at UNLV. They aspire to be a licensed therapist and a published author. During their free time, they love to write poetry, bake cookies, and watch pro-wrestling!
Summer Sekula

Summer is a history major who loves drawing and painting whenever possible. She draws inspiration particularly from landscapes and scenes from her everyday life. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring new places around town.
Niko Navalta

Niko Navalta is majoring in fine arts with a concentration in painting, drawing and printmaking at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In their free time, they enjoy reading, drawing, painting, gaming, and playing with their two cats, Ramses and Phoenix. They hope to utilize their art skills in the future and create a children's book or a graphic novel.
Lila Salvacion

Lila Salvacion is currently a healthcare administration major at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She hopes to land a job in a clinic or aims to be a health service administrator after her bachelor's, then get a master's in occupational therapy when she is ready. On her free time, she loves making art and learning different art mediums. Deep down, she always wanted to be a professional artist, ever since she was little. Besides that, she is an enthusiast of ube desserts, fashion, and miniature objects; plays lawn tennis; and is always on the hunt for the best cafes in town.
Rubaab Wahid

Rubaab Wahid is currently in her third year at UNLV. She is a biology major with a pre-professional concentration. Her goal is to become a doctor in the future, possibly a pediatrician. Rubaab has joined From the Brush mainly as a graphic designer because she has had a passion for visual art, including digital design, since a young age. In her free time, she enjoys reading and sleeping.
Dr. Maria Jerinic

Dr. Jerinic is an Associate Professor in the UNLV Honors College where she has taught since 2005. She offers courses in writing and literature and enjoys discussing books and writing projects with her students.
